This blog is about spirit and spirituality, about history, god and man. It’s about creation, abundance and wealth, and many other subjects. I will be writing, but also occassionally post video that particularly speak to me, and I hope they will also speak to you.
And about myself: Birte Edwards
While growing up in Denmark in a family with the weakest possible roots to Judaism, I always took a special interest in Israel. At the same time one of my favorite subjects was history. In fact I passed my high school exam in history with top grades, despite the fact that I was being examined in a subject we had not covered.
I came to Israel for the first time in the wake of the Six-Day War in 1967, and immediately knew that I was finding my roots, finding my Jewish identity. As is so often the case I also met the man who a couple of years later was to become my husband, and it was obvious to both of us that this is where we would create our family and our lives after having completed our studies. And so we did in 1971.
After having brought 2 wonderful children into the world, in 1983 I became a licensed tour guide in Israel, and I have been working as such since then, with bothChristian and Jewish tours, on busses and private car.
Learning has always been a passion. Not just learning more history, more geography, more flora and fauna, but also understanding the heart and mind of who we are and how we got to be where we are.
I have studied alternative medicine as a reflexologist and massage therapist. I am a Reiki Master, and I have been a student of the bible, kabbalah, metaphysics and the universe. But more than all this, I am a student of human nature by studying myself and others through self-awareness and personal development programs, and other studies.
My understanding of history gives me a profound sense of where we have come from. My understanding of human nature has given me a profound understanding of the ways of thinking in days gone past, and how it influences us today.
I combine my knowledge of both fields into a unique life approach which I express in my life, in my teachings as a guide, as a spiritual guide, as a life guide.
I believe in the unity of all and at the same time the uniqueness of all. I see the beauty of all around us, and believe that we can and will create a world of unity, rather than separateness.
In this blog you will, dear reader and friend, be able to interact with me. I will post my ideas. I will expose what I believe may have been mis-readings or mis-interpretations of great teachings. I tend to takes things seriously, but I also know how to have a good laugh.
I personally love what I call “inspirational” stories and will occassionally post some, with or without my comments.
I will be grateful for comments and discussion, but will not tolerate abuse, bad language, or disrespect for the opinions of others. For this I keep the rights to edit or remove any entries that disregard this.
